Visiting Volunteer Training Planned in Wilton on March 6th |
Wilton, Maine 2/7/12 - "When I became a volunteer, I never realized what a big impact it would have on my life," stated Bob Oliver, a Visiting Volunteer with Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. "I started to look at life through the eyes of the caregiver and patient. I then realized just how much a couple of hours of my time were worth to someone else. I love this work."
The 4-hour training class will be held in Wilton on Tuesday, March 6th from 12:00-4:00pm at Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice's Office at 284 Main Street in downtown Wilton. |

January Volunteer Training Classes Beginning January 23rd |
Lewiston, Maine 12/29/2011 - Sheila Bacon, Hospice Volunteer, and resident of Greene started volunteering almsot 8-years ago. She kept seeing information in the newspaper offering the training and decided it was time. Sheila says, "I did not realize how much Hospice Volunteering would teach me about people, life, and death. Many people tend to fear death and thanks to the patients I have met, that fear has greatly decreased for me. When you reach out and give of yourself, you receive the gift of joy." |
