Next General Volunteer Trainings Announced

Lewiston, Maine 11/16/12 - Volunteer support has been an integral part of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice's services for 40 years. The Program is now widely recognized as one of the most extensive, non-profit, home health care volunteer programs in Maine.

"When I became a volunteer, I never realized what a big impact it would have on my life," states Bob Oliver, AHCH Volunteer. "I started to look at life through the eyes of the caregiver and patient. I then realized just how much a couple of hours of my time were worth to someone else. I love this work."

General Volunteer training prepares volunteers to visit with patients in our Home Care services who are homebound while they recover from an illness or injury or any other reason requiring home care services. This training also prepares volunteers to work in the office or at the Hospice House as a greeter or kitchen support.

The General Volunteer schedule for December is listed below. All classes are from 9:00am-3:30pm and are provided to the community at no cost.

December 4th at Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice's Wilton Office
December 6th at Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice's Lewiston Office
December 13th at Bridgton Hospital
