The Hospice House 5K & Remembrance Walk was founded in 2009 after a local family experienced the wonderful care given to their loved one at the Hospice House. This family felt strongly that no one should have to worry about the cost of their end-of-life care, ensuring all those who need the services of the Hospice House receive them without worry of how they will be paid for. The event continues to grow every year, attracting more participants and raising more money. In 2014 the event raised over $75,000 to support the needs of patients and families at the Hospice House, the 2015 Planning Committee hopes to raise over $85,000 this year.
