Lewiston, Maine 7.15.15 - The Fortin Group is continuing their support of home care and hospice services with a sponsorship of $2,500 to Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice (AHCH). Their sponsorship is dedicated to two major events hosted by AHCH, the Hospice House 5K & Remembrance Walk held in May and the Butterfly Release Celebration coming up on August 8th. Both events raise needed funds to support patient care and family support services at the Hospice House in Auburn.
Every year, more than 1,300 patients and their families receive hospice care and support from Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice and more than 500 pass through the doors of the Hospice House. Community Support through donations and special events ensure patients and families cared for by Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice receive the highest level of care regardless of ability to pay.
"We are very grateful for The Fortin Group's longstanding support and commitment to hospice care," explained Jim Bouchard, AHCH Marketing and Development Director. "The Fortin Group joined us as an event sponsor in 2011 but our partnership began well over ten years ago when we worked together to host community education programs on end-of-life care."
"The Fortin Group's support extends beyond their sponsorship," continued Bouchard. "We can always count on staff from the Fortin Group to lend a hand at all of our events, assisting with set up, greeting participants or providing transportation."
"Our long standing relationship with Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice is based on a deep mutual respect of the work of each organization, as we care for our community members in their most challenging life moments," states Michael Martel, Market Director, Dignity Memorial, Main Street, Northeast. "Our team of professionals at The Fortin Group truly enjoys working with AHCH team members to create seamless service for local families. Volunteering and sponsoring events is merely an extension of that."
