Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice sponsors flu vaccinations, blood pressure screening and health promotion events. Through special grants we provide additional services, such as maternal and well-baby care for low-income families.

Supporting our communities in 2010:

• 495 residents in assisted living facilities received flu vaccinations.
• 37 informational presentations on Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice services and family caregiving were offered at a variety of community events throughout our service area.
• 81 community members and health professionals furthered their education on end-of-life care by attending three hospice educational presentations.
• 42 community organizations benefited from 385 volunteer hours from AHCH employees using their community service leave benefit.
• 8 health care coalition and networks benefited from participation by Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice staff representatives - Healthy Androscoggin, Healthy Families Androscoggin, Franklin Resource Network, River Valley Healthy Community Coalition, Lakes Region Healthy Community Coalition, Oxford Hills Healthy Community Coalition, Western Maine Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition and the Western Maine Public Health Group.
