Scheduled for May 20th, the HH 5K & Remembrance Walk provides an opportunity for family and friends to participate in a fun, healthy activity that honors the memory of a loved one and raises funds to support patient care at the Hospice House in Auburn.

Nearly 500 patients and their families are supported each year at the Hospice House. In 2010, 59 patients, who lacked adequate health insurance, were able to receive care that totaled more than $69,000 thanks to support from the community.

A highlight of the HH 5K & Remembrance Walk is the Remembrance Balloons that line the event routes. Each is inscribed with the name of a loved one being remembered by participants. The event culminates with the release of the balloons.

All sponsors will be recognized at the event, and in Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice's Annual Report that is mailed to 1,200 donors and 300 volunteers.
