Remembrance Ornament

Since 2006, Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice has offered a holiday remembrance ornament. For many, giving the Remembrance Ornament has become part of their holiday tradition and is a wonderful way to honor the memory of a loved-one.



The ornament is generously sponsored each year by Mechanics Savings Bank. Proceeds support home health and hospice care for patients without health insurance and volunteer and bereavement support services.

Since its beginning, $15,000 has been raised through the sale of Remembrance Ornaments.
Our 2012 Remembrance Ornament will be on the website and available to pre-order in September. Please share the ornament order page with family and friends.

"The reason I look forward to the Remembrance Ornament is the look on my Mom's face every Christmas morning when she opens the package. I buy at least two ornaments in memory of my Dad who passed away almost 13 years ago. My Mom always gets the first one. The moment she opens that gift on Christmas morning a special warmth seems to fill the room. Tears form in her eyes and an unspoken message passes among my sisters and I. She then hangs it on the tree along with the ones from past years. The ornament seems to bring us all together for the day. It is an incredible feeling.
